Spring runoff from the Sawtooth Mountains turns the Salmon River into a surge of whitewater providing the power and momentum for this adventure rafting trip. Quality equipment and experienced, seasoned guides negotiate you through swift, powerful, class IV Idaho Whitewater Rapids accessible only during high water conditions. This trip guarantees intense excitement and is perfect for those seeking high adventure on the river. This trip is available based on seasonal water flows and restricted to children over the age of twelve.

Directly downstream from the launch site we encounter the first of the class IV rapids: spectacular Shotgun Falls, followed by two miles of whitewater and the historic Sunbeam Dam (IV) run. Piece of Cake and Warm Springs Gorge Rapids round out the series of thrilling runs and lead to the class II and III rapids, which comprise the middle section of the river. After a delicious outdoor meal served up at our secluded lunch camp, we continue downstream through a leisurely stretch of river, allowing time for relaxation and a refreshing swim in a deep, clear swimming hole.
